There are foods which defined our childhood growing up in India. These foods will always be close to our hearts and make us nostalgic whenever we think of them.
1. Rooh Afza
This delectable delight never failed to put a smile on our faces. Even today, this red colored summer drink remains one of our favorites.
2. Marie biscuit
Tea plus Marie biscuit, need I say more.
Opening our tiffin boxes to Maggi was one of the most joyful things back in our school days. You will always love Maggi – when you were 10 when you became 20 and you will still love it even when you’re 50. The ‘Taste Bhi, Health Bhi’ tagline appealed to us for the taste and our mothers for the health.
4. Cotton Candy
Hearing the “Budhi ke Baal wala aa gaya” cry is something we’re all quite familiar with. Sweet and mouth-melting candy, what more can we ask for.
Who can forget the “Mango Frooti, Fresh ‘n’ Juicy” advertisement which ruled our TV screens and our hearts. This was the first drink in India to be launched in a tetra pack.
6. Amul Butter
Growing up, butter meant Amul butter and who could forget that ultimate taste when we applied it over our bread slices and had our breakfast.
7. Dabur Chyawanprash
We used to wait for winters just so that we could have our hands on the tasty chyawanprash.
It’s been years and the market today is flooded with all kinds of juices and energy drinks, but for me it’s still “I love you Rasna”.
The ultimate post-dinner snack. Nothing can come close to the blend of its textures even today.
