At Rodeo, you get to feast on authentic Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine. Combining the concept of casual dining with fun, the restaurant serves exquisite cocktails like Rodeo Martini made from tequila. Doing justice to the theme, servers are dressed as cowboys. Among food dishes, hits include enchiladas, fajitas, burritos and tacos to name a few from the chef’s menu.
6. Farzi Café, Connaught Place
For those in search of gourmet Indian food with a global twist, Farzi Café is the place to be. The décor is elegant but real artistry arrives on the plates, which are astoundingly good. Big Chill is synonymous with high quality food and has deservedly built up a devoted fan base over the years. 8. Kainoosh, Vasant Kunj
Marut Sikka’s stylish restaurant is the only restaurant to have a separate entry in DLF Promenade Mall, Vasant Kunj. Its classy décor, comfortable seating and refreshing ambience add to the fine dining experience. The key to contemporary Indian food on offer is flavor, in very robust doses. If you want to sample the taste of six different main dishes at the same time, go for the thali.
9. Coast Cafe, Hauz Khas
In the buzzing lanes of Hauz Khas Village stands a tall café, in virginal white with large bay windows, offering a soothing escape from the city and a breathtaking view from the balcony. This two-floor quaint café will please your palate with its coastal and Continental cuisine. 10. Perch Wine & Coffee Bar, Vasant Vihar
With European style understated décor and minimalist furniture, Perch Wine & Coffee Bar puts food, wine and coffee at the centre of your experience. 11. Lavaash By Saby, Mehrauli
Lavaash (means a large flatbread in Armenian cuisine) is inspired by chef Saby’s connection with the Armenian community in West Bengal. The bright peacock motifs, hues of blue and white and a stunning outdoor seating space set the tone for an extensive food and liquor menu. Cherry white wine sangria, onion prawn tolma, Iranian lamb koobideh and Tonir roasted chicken definitely win you over.
12. Peninsular, Vasant Kunj
If you wish to tantalize your taste buds with southern flavors from Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad and the likes, try the food at Peninsular Kitchen. Warm lighting, accents of white and blue and glimpses of raw wood texture complement the overall mood. Their coastal thali attempts to give holistic insight into the spectrum of flavors that Keralite cuisine has to offer. Preparation of appams and accompanying stews is commendable.
13. Rose Café, Saket
Rose Café is a beautiful place tucked away inside Saidulajab. Pastel blue and pink interiors work well with its distressed wood furniture and rose fragrance. The outer seating area is pretty too. Rose café iced coffee, mint lemonade infused with kaffir lime leaves, penne pasta in pink sauce, spaghetti aglio olio and tangy lemon cake make your visit memorable. If you want to spend some quality time and have good food, come on over.
14. Soi 7 Pub & Brewery, DLF Cyber City
Located on the second floor of Cyber Hub, Soi 7 Pub & Brewery has equally mesmerizing indoor and outdoor seating areas. It’s a happening place that offers a range of dishes from Chinese, Thai, Japanese and Asian cuisines but is famous for its beers brewed on-site. The likes of traditional Thai vegetable biryani served with peanut sauce, salad and cottage cheese kebabs sit comfortably alongside perri perri chicken pizza and make you crave for more.

16. Nehru Place Social, Nehru Place
Quirky décor and cozy ambience are one of the first things that strike you at Nehru Place Social. All Social outlets are known for their stellar cocktails and food but new additions to the food menu here include dishes such as butter salt and peperoncino wings, killer kebab platter and bhoona sausage pao. Feet-tapping music, generous area for dance and a co-working space make it a cool hangout place.
17. Yum Yum Cha, Saket
It is the tiniest little eatery in this – or any other – mall but so cleverly has the theme been executed and so intelligent the planning of the facilities that all you notice are the bright colours and playfulness of the mainly Japanese theme. Origami is the theme of the eatery, executed in paper-like metal brightly painted. It is on the ceiling in a collage, on the shelves in charming accessories, even on staff uniforms and napkins as embroidered motifs. The menu is one of a kind and it is astonishing how the chefs dish out high quality food from such a small kitchen.
18. Khan Chacha, Saket
Haji Banda Hasan founded a modest shop in 1972 that has now turned into a legendary place serving top-notch Mughlai and north Indian fare. Located behind Select Citywalk mall, it’s a small outlet that provides freshly prepared food and decent service. Succulent kebabs and rolls make Khan Chacha frenetically popular till today.
19. Havemore, Pandara Road
A Punjabi family restaurant, Havemore has been a landmark in Pandara Road Market for many years now. The place is jam-packed even today because of its legendary food. Favorites among Havemore aficionados include their famous butter chicken and melt-in-the-mouth mutton burrah kebabs. Another popular dish is the delightful brain curry. This restaurant by the Striker family has two vibrant floors thriving with energy. However, their huge terrace is the preferred choice of most people. 25. Hadippa – Punjabi Khana Shana, Rajouri Garden
As the name suggests, the heart and soul of this place is Punjabi food though some dishes have been given unique twists. The resplendent interiors, that may remind you of a village in Punjab, are done up using original Indian artifacts and antiquities. Good service and music help you relish the flavorsome food even more.
26. Wok In The Clouds, Khan Market
Located in the back alleys of Khan Market, Wok In The Clouds is an opulent, wood-accented restaurant that serves Indian, Continental and Chinese food. The restaurant has two floors, one with an indoor fine dine ambience and the second with a bar and beautiful outdoor seating, overlooking the market. Qubitos has lively indoors but on a pleasant day it’s the spacious terrace and its breezy views of the city that diners flock to. Apart from hosting ladies’ night every Thursday, the place also has live performances by bands quite often. The menu features delightful multi-cuisine dishes, of which butter chicken spring rolls is a must try.
28. FLYP@MTV, Connaught Place
A one of a kind concept, MTV’s FLYP is a cafe that goes from being a co-working space to a nightlife hotspot seamlessly. Be it popular tracks, indie music, Coke Studio sessions or karaoke, they’ve got it all covered. Curated by chef Ranveer Brar, the quirky menu offers some lip-smacking global food, for instance biryani balls and black miso chicken tikka. 29. Kent’s, Defence Colony
Open since 1985, Kent’s continues to wow with its quick bites, especially juicy burgers. It’s a family-owned small outlet that offers tempting fast food at economical prices. The quick service ensures that all customers, including those who order takeout, are happy. The place witnessed high footfall more often than not.
30. Circus, South Ex. 2
Spread over three floors with bright colors, crazy chandeliers, funhouse mirrors and three different types of open seating, Circus brings together a casual dining restaurant and a cocktail bar. Inspired by global spin on street food, Dhaba Chinese, Dilliwalla Chinjabi Bowls and tiffin meals tickle your taste buds. Joker No.7 and Masala Gang are two of their unique, refreshing and potent concoctions. When it comes to juggling flavors and liquor, Circus nails it.
31. Out Of The Box, Hauz Khas
Out Of The Box is spread over two floors and has a rooftop that provides one of the best views of the serene lake in Hauz Khas Village. The eats range from Lebanese to Italian, Thai to Japanese, Chinese to Indian and they do decent dim sums, bunny chow, Ludhiana tandoori chicken and keema pav. Patrons also flock here for their value for money deals on spirits, beers and sheesha. Drop by on weekends to catch live performances and gigs.
32. Karim’s, Saket
So many years in the business and Karim’s is still one of the most successful commercial establishments that serve true Mughlai food. The menu is familiar and failsafe. Of the well-spiced food, mutton burrah is easily the best in the city. The outlet also retains its charm because of its Old Delhi style mouth-watering kebabs.
33. Garam Dharam, Rajouri Garden
True to its name, this restaurant is a tribute to actor Dharmendra in every way possible. Posters of the actor’s movies adorn the walls and his songs play in the background. The bar, designed as a ‘desi theka’, complements the theme quite well. Their food hits the mark with perfect Punjabi flavors. This is concept dining at its best.
34. Rang De Basanti Urban Dhaba, Hauz Khas
Don’t be fooled into thinking that Rang De Basanti Urban Dhaba is a restaurant trying to jump on the desi-turned-modern food bandwagon. It offers 100% authentic lip-smacking desi food. A tractor, catchy graphics on yellow walls and rose milk shots served as welcome drinks capture the true essence of a dhaba. Sawa Futiya Seekh made of minced veggies and Tangdi Oye Hoye, a roasted piece of chicken marinated in cream and dry fruits, are splendid.
35. Döner Grill, GK-1
A quick service restaurant with almost no seating, Döner Grill whips up unforgettably good Turkish-style doner kebabs- think chicken chipotle, paneer chermoula and falafel doners. All doners are freshly prepared to suit your choices and are served in a triangular pita pocket or a roll. Either way, you get to team them up with two creamy and yummy dips of your choice.

Not all treasure is silver and gold, mate. Sometimes, it’s a great barbeque experience at Pirates Of Grill amid a modern setting, soothing music and pirate maps. Starters such as gosht ki seekh, roasted garlic prawns and churrasco pineapple are grilled to perfection. There are only a handful places in Delhi whose food and sweets have stood the test of time. 42. Tummy Section, Jail Road
When you’re looking for grub that will light your fire without burning a hole in your pocket, go to Tummy Section. This West Delhi restaurant has a small seating capacity but the food more than makes up for it. The special chicken shawarma is touted as one of the best shawarmas Delhi offers and the crispy chicken lollipops oozing with cream are drool worthy.

Enter this restaurant from the back side of the Greater Kailash (GK) 1 market and you’ll leave, quite obviously, elated! The menu is dominated by north Indian and Chinese dishes but the place is also known for its sheesha. 44. Themis Barbecue House, Netaji Subhash Place
If you’re hunting for barbecue joints in NSP, look no further. Themis Barbecue House is a chic-styled restaurant that serves north Indian and Italian fare. The beautiful outdoor seating helps you unwind while live music adds to the uber-cool ambience. Apparently a self-styled British bistro, FrenZone offers an exhaustive menu that mostly covers Indian dishes because they believe in “videshi feel, desi tadka”. The food is well prepared and hygienic. Dal makhni is spot on! Since the place is pocket-friendly, it has become quite popular among students and families alike.

Want to spend a few leisurely hours engrossed in your favorite comics while devouring some Continental or Oriental dishes? Head to What A Comic Show. Shelves filled with comic books, posters of superheroes on the walls and comic strips printed on the furniture will give you a lot to cheer about. Their deep-fried meatballs and dumplings are to die for; Dr. Doom, a blend of red wine, white wine and beer, amazingly lives up to the name!
48. Global Food Factory, Rajouri Garden
When you want to feel like you’ve travelled the world, go to Global Food Factory and expect an eclectic menu comprising dishes from British, European, Thai, Chinese, Tex-Mex, Mediterranean, Indian, American and Japanese cuisines. If ordering from the menu gets stressful, choose the buffet and eat the whole damn lot. Whichever way you pay and play, you won’t be disappointed.
49. Dishoom, Satyaniketan
Dishoom is one of the reasons why Satyaniketan is always bustling with foodies. The interiors of the multi- cuisine restaurant are rustic yet action packed with parts of a bike hanging on the wall. Dig into their chicken satay, baked chicken nachos and kadhai chicken pizza and you will go back for more. However, the place can be a bit loud when full. Make a reservation for the sofas near the balcony if you want an intimate space.
50. Dhaba By Claridges, Saket
Dhaba by Claridges celebrates all things desi, kitsch and cool. Delectable north Indian dishes, a well-stocked ‘theka’ and intriguing elements- chandeliers made out of taps, Bollywood posters, an actual truck that you can enjoy your meal on and an open kitchen counter that resembles a highway pit-stop –recreate the quintessential dhaba.
