Yes, the golgappes and momos from the roadside are ever so appealing. However, it is a well-known fact that roadside eateries lack hygiene. Unclean plates may cause health issues, and if you have an exam or important event coming up, it would be best to stay away. In case you’re traveling, stock up on protein bars, nuts and fruits.
Keep Lunch Light
Eat enough to feel content, but not too full. Too heavy a lunch could make you feel slow and sleepy. Eat foods rich in vitamins, minerals, fat, carbohydrates and protein. Generous helpings of greens and vegetables are perfect. Avoid foods made with refined flour and sugar like cakes, pastries etc that hamper mental alertness.
In addition to eating right, a good night’s sleep coupled with an exercise regime is of paramount importance. It will help keep you alert and active the following day.
A lack of water or dehydration can make you lose concentration, and you may even faint. Always drink enough water. If you’re thirsty, it means your body is already a little dehydrated. Avoid sodas and colas, as they may cause fatigue.
