Golden Milk Recipe
To prepare the turmeric paste:
¼ cup of powdered turmeric
¼ tsp. freshly powdered black pepper
½ cup of water
Put the ingredients together and heat without boiling. Boiling would rid you of the benefits. It takes a tad bit longer, but it’s sure worth the wait.
To prepare one cup of the golden milk:
1 cup of rice milk
½ tsp. of turmeric paste
½ tsp. virgin coconut oil
Heat and stir all of the ingredients in a pot without boiling.
Voila! Enjoy your cup full of benefits.
Things to note:
You may use natural soy milk. However, I suggest adding one or two teaspoons of honey. Rice milk is already sweet. Experiment, and settle for the one that suits you.
Turmeric is slightly difficulties in absorbing by the body. Therefore, black pepper and coconut oil are added to enhance the body’s absorption capabilities.
